The basis of the game was a career mode, where the player must get the status of the best racer in a fictional city, along the way developing his qualities, acquiring new cars, pumping them. As in its predecessor, the developers have retained the arcade mode in the second part, in which the player can safely participate in races in single or multiplayer mode. However in 2012, Take Two Interactive re-registered the Midnight Club trademark, but no plans announced for a future title in the series.Moto and auto race - Midnight club 2 - became a cult sequel to the first part. In January 2010, Rockstar had stalled plans for a future Midnight Club installment, and the development team was slowly dismantled.
